In this tutorial you will learn how to create a nice bubbly abstract effect using Adobe photoshop 8.0 CS. Using simple filter techniques with an outcome greater then that of what you expect with these simple impressive steps.

Firstly we are going to create a new blank document, set the width and height at both 300 pixels.

Step1 - Set the background color to black, then navigate to the lens flare filter. filter > render > lens flare > and set the lens type to movie prime. Centerize the flare to the middle of the document. Then you should have something like the following shown below.

Step2 - We are now going to add a plastic wrap to give it that bubbely look. Navigate through to the plastic wrap option doing the following Filter > Artistic > Plastic wrap. And use the following settings as shown below.

Then you should have the following shown below

Step3 - We are now going to add a simple twirl to the image, you can do this by going to Filter > Distort > Twirl. Then use the following settings as shown below:

We are nearly complete, all you need to do now is Press CTRL + U on your keyboard to bring up the Hue/Saturation box, Choose your own color settings if you wish. When you have done this. Duplicate the layer and set it to pin light. Then the final outcome should look something like the following below.
